TerraWise On Track For 2 of 50 Homes

Tiny-House-Roof-Construction-Progress_TerraWiseHomesTerraWise Homes along with other members of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) and Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (Habijax) are making the push to build the tiny house community on Navaho Avenue in Jacksonville's Lackawanna neighborhood.

Work commenced February 1st and the progress made is impressive with several houses, including those being built by TerraWise Homes and its participating subcontractors, already dried in with roofs installed.

"Everything is going well so far in spite of the unexpected extreme cold weather making the early morning and late evening work more challenging," said TerraWise  Homes' president Nathan Lambert. "It's amazing what can be accomplished when enough talented builders, trade contractors and suppliers band together for a project like this that will change the lives of many needy families in Jacksonville."

Lambert said both of the houses TerraWise is building should be fully completed within the next week and on schedule for the projected 10 to 14 day construction time. All homes in the 50 lot community are 500 square feet and include front porches. Habijax planned the houses to be affordable rental units available to one and two person households.
