Neighbors with a passion for brewing beer have taken a home hobby to a new brewery right in their historic Springfield neighborhood.

Historically Hoppy Brewing Company is now open in the space formerly occupied by Main and Sixth  Brewery.

Residents and neighbors Ryan and Brianna McFarland and Aaron and Natalie Leedy are using all of their own recipes perfected in their homes for the menu of beers offered. And all beers are being made and brewed on site. They currently offer 11 beers, all ales, on their taps with plans to include lagers and others as the business grows.

According to their website, the menu includes wine options, seltzers and sours. They also have brewed-on-premises soda and hop water for those wanting non-alcoholic craft options.

"We are excited to see this new brewery opening here in Springfield and by our neighbors Ryan and Brianna McFarland and Aaron and Natalie Leedy," says Jac Shacter, TerraWise Operations/Sales Director and Springfield resident. "The McFarlands also built and live in a TerraWise home so it's great to see one of our buyers doubling down in Springfield."
