TerraWise Homes Approaching 100 Built

TerraWise Homes has been a Springfield based home building company from the very beginning with a vision of bringing modern energy efficient new homes to the neighborhood while staying true to the historical design styles. As TerraWise moves into its ninth year, the company has completed 90 homes, free-standing carriage houses and garages in the neighborhood.

"We already have 18 homes, five garages and three carriage houses underway this year so 2022 is looking to be very busy in Springfield," said director of operations and sales manager Jac Shacter. "Our designs blend well with the historical look and front porch lifestyle that is making Springfield one of the most desirable locations for home buyers today."

According to Shacter, the TerraWise team has also been busy adding more homesites to its Springfield portfolio with several homes in pre-construction to provide more quick move home opportunities for buyers. On the design side, their in-house team and design partners continue to refine the home offerings and bring forward new floor plans to broaden the opportunities for buyers to pair the perfect house and home site to build new in Jacksonville's historic neighborhood.

"Our homes remain true to the the vision of the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR) and Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission (JHPC.) They also have proven to be a great value with our homeowners enjoying low monthly electric bills due to our holistic approach to energy efficient design," said Shacter. "We do our best to make the new blend with the old, but once you get to know our plans its hard to drive through the neighborhood without seeing a few." 

The TerraWise team are also stakeholders in Springfield. Jac and his wife built a TerraWise home there in 2019 where they live with their three children. They have experienced very low monthly electric bills with just the standard energy efficient features included in every TerraWise home. Plus another member of the TerraWise team also resides in the neighborhood.
